Snowy Valentine

Happy Valentines Day! Here Zoë is having fun chomping on the lid of the chocolates I got from Kevin along with lovely flowers (he's so nice!). Zoë also got a Valentine - a card from Aunty Kathy and Uncle Bob! She loved it and read it like a book:

Speaking of books - Zoë LOVES reading books now that she can turn the pages. Here she is showing off her skills for her two special visitors:

Alyssa and Johana were in town this past weekend and it was wonderful to see them! Baby Zoë knew right away that Alyssa is just a big kid and played with her accordingly. I am especially thankful for the shrieking game Alyssa taught Zoë. I guess a drum set is on the way...ha ha! Here they are having fun:

Because of the crappy weather, our little family has been trapped inside for two days. Today we bundled up and headed to the park on our block. (Baby Zoë, unlike her mother, is not content to nap and lounge around all day and got pretty bored!)

We think she liked the swings...hard to tell with only eyes and a button nose sticking out!

In other news, still no crawling. But she is getting the hang of standing while holding on to something. We'll keep you posted on what develops next!

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!

On the move

No, baby Zoë is not walking yet. In fact, she is not even crawling yet. But she loves it when Kevin pretends she can walk. (And she really loves it when he swings her around like a monkey while I have a heart attack - ha ha.) We think that crawling is right around the corner though! Zoë can roll like a barrel to get over to something. And she can slide backwards - but this just gets her frustrated because she just gets farther away from the toy she wants!

Here is a cute shot of her two chompers...still only these two! (And of her funny t-shirt from Alyssa and Jason.)

Zoë has had a full social calendar. Last weekend we went to Baby Music Circle where we sang songs and made a racket with bells and rattles and drums along with other parents and babies. Zoë LOVED it and laughed and bounced. And this weekend we met up with other new parents and their babies we met through meetup.com. We met some nice grownups and Zoë loved looking at (and shrieking at) all the other babies!

For the Superbowl we went to visit our old neighbors. They have a daughter who is 2 months older than Zoë.

Look how TALL Ava is! She was crawling all over the place - I think I saw Zoë taking notes.

Zoë is enjoying new foods. She LOVES having yogurt with her baby food for breakfast. And here she is enjoying a teething toast. Mmmmmm...

We are on crawl-watch this week and will be sure to post any big news!
