Five Months Old!

Where does the time go? Hannah loves standing so we busted out the walker so she can scoot around the kitchen.

And, much to her delight, she has found her toes!

Zoe's friend Ava came over yesterday to show off her newborn baby sister. The girls had lots of fun playing and were especially happy that the ice cream truck came by!

Here is the artist hard at work. Zoe loves drawing and Hannah loves watching her. This frees me up for doing dishes, which I do not love.

A little while after that snap, Zoe said "Mom, look I drew Zoe." Quite an impressive first self-portrait, no?

Hannah is already learning to get irritated by her mother. Enough with the camera, woman!

Here is Zoe earning her keep:

And fresh pictures from today! Zoe on her whistle-stop tour:

And Hannah (and those delicious toes!) napping while Zoe plays at the park!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a low-key Father's Day because Kevin was a bit under the weather. But he sure liked his presents: fudge and a framed copy of the above picture for his desk at work!

In Hannah news - she is still such a good natured baby. The other day at the farm a lamb came over to the fence and bleated really LOUDLY! Hannah burst into tears. I already had my camera out and decided to snap a picture of her crying because I really don't have any. But, my pleasant little girl saw the camera and gave me a smile through the tears!

She loves looking at herself.

She really loves standing. Zoe used to snuggle on our laps for hours. Hannah sits for a minute then digs her pointy heels into your lap so you help her into a standing position. Then she wants you to hold her up all day...

And she really loves just being adorable.

The weather has been so rainy...Zoe is not happy to be stuck in the house so much. So we all run out whenever there is a break in the weather. Shout out to cousin Mark for the backpack!

And finally, one static-y slide hair picture for fun!

Food!

Sorry for the delay in posting! We have been busy around here!

Zoe had her first dentist appointment. She was not crazy about it, but her teeth look good! She also had her annual physical. She weighed in at a whopping (sarcasm) 23.5 lbs placing her under the 0th percentile for her age. But she is still following her own growth curve, its just a petite one. She has been having fun trying new food lately. Like collard greens with vinegar (seriously!)

Baby Hannah is also trying her first bites of food!

As you can see she is not crazy about solids yet! But no worries, she weighed in at a bit over 13 lbs at her 4 month appointment keeping her right below the 50th percentile. I am hoping she stays my little chunker!

Though she is not ready for solids, Hannah is very curious about eating. She enjoys being our centerpiece at suppertime...and we enjoy having her there!

Memorial Day

We traveled up to Connecticut for the big Memorial Day weekend! (Don't worry Massachusetts peeps, we're heading your way in the summer!) We stayed at Grampa's house. Zoe loved chasing him around!

And Hannah didn't mind letting him chew her blanket with her - ha ha.

Hannah was happy to meet her Great Gramma!

And what a great, Great Gramma she is - look at her playing the balloon game with Zoe!

Hannah got to meet the ocean (well, the Sound actually, but close enough).

And Hannah was happy snuggling with Camy!

Also in our exciting weekend was a little party for Zoe - she's 3!!! She says thanks for all the loot!

And we are so thankful that Leslie and Lily made the 2 hour drive down to see us!! Aunty Leslie finally got her hands on baby Hannah!

And Lily and Zoe screeched when they saw each other, chased each other like puppies and finally stopped for some snacks (and serious reading).

Zoe also got presents and cards in the mail at home - Thanks Memere and Super Memere and Aunty Janice.

And when dollars spilled out of one of the cards Zoe shrieked - "My Money!!" They learn so early - ha ha!

Happy Mother's Day!

The bangs have been cut!

We are now living with the little dutch boy!

Kidding! I think Zoe looks quite cute! (Poor thing cried through the whole haircut though...)

The kids had their friends over on Friday. Hannah looks quite smitten with Bob, no?

And Zoe, not wanting to be left out, decided to join the babies. (Bob's big sister, Zoe's friend Emily, was a bit camera shy that day!)

Zoe has gotten to play with her friend Ava a lot lately. They have fun chasing each other around and being silly as you can see:

(Hannah has been having a lot of play-dates with her pal Allison, but I have no recent pics of that! Lauren, this week there will be a photoshoot!)

This pic is for Aunty Leslie - Hannah *loves* this tag-filled lovey that she gave her!

And I just love this picture of my pretty Zoe even if the light is crappy!

Proof that Zoe is a daddy's girl: we were talking about our friend who is pregnant and Zoe related that to baby Hannah, who used to be in my belly and now lives with us. I then told her that she lived in my belly too! No, Zoe said, I came from Daddy's belly.

Three Months Old

I can't believe Baby Hannah is three months old! Time goes by so fast - where did my teeny newborn go? On the other hand, I feel like I've known her forever. Here is a pic I snapped on Sunday:

(And here is Zoe's three month snap if anyone wants to compare.)

Here's Hannah picking up her big ol' head. She's getting strong!

And this is how she rolls over - she hurls her big head over and then kicks until the rest of her body follows. Not pretty, but it gets the job done!

See, Hannah doesn't always smile like Fozzy Bear:

But she usually does:

We had a family outing to the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum last weekend. It's about a 5 minute drive from our house and there are lots of trails for walking/stroller-ing on. Here is Kevin and his girls...and perhaps some rare bird in the background:

In Zoe hair news, we still have not cut her bangs. I tried a head band. But she insists on putting it on herself and then she looks like Keith Richards...sigh.

Tonight, Zoe said, "Mom, take a picture of me" and there she was posing with Hannah. Maybe Zoe is warming up to her?

Happy Easter!

On Friday I took Zoe and Hannah to the Brandywine Zoo. It was chilly, but fun!

I want to grow out Zoe's bangs...she wants to tear out any and all barrettes and clips. I guess she is going to get a hair cut.

"Mommy...we're watching you..."

Hannah is of course too little to sit up yet...she just tips over!

Here is Zoe playing with her beads at our new table (there is a leaf that makes it big so you can all come to dinner!)

Ready to ride!

Kevin got a new bike and Zoe got a bike seat on the back!

So far she seems to really like riding!

Zoe also likes taking pictures. She took this one after posing Hannah with Camy-the-doll.
